Golden Beach
Golden Beach is the only artificial beach in Hong Kong. In 1994 it started to serve the bathers. Together with Cafeteria New and Cafeteria Old, the beach is 550 m long. The tourist spot – Gold Coast is situated nearby the beach, and attracts many family visitors during weekends and holidays. In 2014, Golden Beach is the third most popular beach in Hong Kong, with about 700,100 visitors. Golden Beach receives a ‘Fair’ annual water quality ranking in 2014.
