Fish Culture Zone Description
Tap Mun (TM) Fish Culture Zone is on the west side of Tap Mun (Grass Island),near the North Channel of outer Mirs Bay. Due to its remoteness and good tidal flushing, the water quality in Tap Mun is excellent. Recently, Tap Mun has become a favourite area for camping and seafood.
Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park, nearby Tap Mun, has one of the best coral colonies in Hong Kong. Mangroves and various marine organisms are also found there. To conserve the marine environment, AFCD installed many artificial reefs in Hoi Ha Wan and the nearby Long Harbour.
